2009 Bush Dance – a boot-scootin’ success

The APPS bushdance on Friday 4 September held at St Kilda Town Hall was a tremendous success with more than 400 parents and kids attending (a record number of tickets sold!), brilliant outfits, 120 pizzas delivered and over $600 worth of icy poles and drinks sold. The gross total raised for the night was over $5000.00, a tribute to both the social and fundraising spirit of our school.

·        Melissa Kingdon, Jenny Kew, Marisa Marasco, Tris Tanumihardjo, Vicki Rumbold, Vicky Watson, Heather Neilson, Jo Peterson, Anny Beauchamp, Dayle Purcell, Pamela Nicholson, Liam Kelly, Francis Grey, Ray Hegarty and Randall Varney (for patrolling the hall corridors!).  Also Jonathon Wu, Sammy Kingdon and Eva and Mia Hegarty who helped sell the drinks and icy poles!

·        The fabulous Blackberry Jam Bush Band (Jennie, Chris and Ray) who put on a terrific show once again,

·        Jedda Reidy, Gina Shannon and Bridene Benn in the school office for processing ticket sales.

·        The City of Port Phillip for the generous subsidy that allowed us to hire their St Kilda Town Hall venue and their assistance with set up,

·        Sam Reid and Ashleigh of Gattica in Balaclava (yummy pizzas) - they donated 10% of their takings to the school,

·        Albert Park IGA's Martin Scanlon (drinks and icy poles),

·        Domino's Pizza (more yummy pizzas),

·        Chocolates on the Avenue (thanks, Di, for the edible prizes),

·        Middle Park kindergarten for loaning the hay bales.
