Over and above the annual fees set for students, fundraising contributes to Albert Park Primary School's ability to provide a diverse range of educational programs, resources and facilities. Each year volunteer parents work with the school to raise sufficient funds to achieve APPS' designated educational goals and improving its physical resources in line with fundraising targets approved by School Council and the School Strategic Plan. Fundraising's supplementary aims include the improved promotion of the school and liaison with local businesses and the wider community, and school social events that assist with community-building and overall improvement of students', staff and family quality of life.The school's fundraising policy can be accessed here. APPS is fortunate to have an enthusiastic and talented parent community, not to mention fantastic staff. Together we organise a series of wonderful regular fundraising and social events throughout the year including the school Bush Dance and annual Fete which in 2008 made a record profit for the school. The Avenue Bookstore has kindly set up an account for Albert Park Primary School. Just mention the school when you make a purchase and they will donate 10% to the school to enable us to buy new books for the classrooms. Craven's Pharmacy
Craven's Pharmacy (corner of Montague and
Bridport Streets, Albert Park), will donate a percentage of sales to APPS parents to help the school's fundraising. Just mention you are a parent at Albert Park Primary School
